Mailloux Quarter Horses We are located 9 miles east of Sturgis SD on Highway 34 and 5 miles north on Nine Mile Road. We are on the ranch that was homesteaded by Gary’s grandparents. Our goal is to continually improve our program by adding genetics that will produce good all-around versatile horses. We want to continue to produce horses with good confirmation, good bone, good dispositions and trainable minds.

This year we have the first crop of foals by Cowboys Shinin 811, a 2008 bay roan grandson of Shining Spark with Zan Parr Bar on the paternal dam’s side and out of a Mr. Gunsmoke/Dry Doc bred mare. Smoke is a kind, good dispositioned stud. We like what he produced this year. We also have the privilege of standing True Sparks A Flying, a 2005 black son of Smoke N Sparks by Dash for Perks and out of Drifters Flying Mist by our old stud Bob Drifter Coulee. True was ridden this spring and showed a sensible mind and a lot of athletic ability. |
